Well hello my peoples! I’ll be honest and say that I don’t have a whole lot to share this week, for several reasons. First is that it’s winter and there’s not a whole lot going on in the garden. Second is that I’ve been super busy with Coco’s Herbals, which is awesome! I’m really having a lot of fun mailing everything out and thinking about all the people that are benefiting from my herbal products. It’s really like this is what I’m supposed to be doing in life, and that makes me so happy!
Also, don’t forget to like my Facebook page for Coco’s Herbals! It will be a place where I share all sorts of herbal wisdom, plus you’ll be the first to find out when I have a new product out (hint: I’m working on some new lip balm flavors as we speak!)
Here are the few things that are happening in our chilly winter garden, including some dew drops and strawberry leaves. The broccoli has already been harvested, but the dew drops on the leaves of the remaining plants were just so pretty the other day.
I guess I’m easy to please! Cosmo the kitten was also interested in them, like usual. Whenever I do something he is never very far behind.
The Brussels sprouts seem to be growing, although slowly. I will eat Brussels sprouts from my garden even if they are the size of marbles, darn it! What I did notice is how pretty the tops of the stalks are.
The last thing that caught my eye in the garden is the strawberry plants. Joel found them growing wild somewhere and transplanted them into a container. They didn’t do much for us this past year, but I have high hopes for them in the coming years. If nothing else, they sure are pretty! I love the colors that the leaves turn in the fall.
Here’s hoping for strawberries next spring!
The last thing I wanted to mention is that my friend over at Pixie’s Pocket has just released a new eBook called Forage and Brew, all about wild mead making for the seasons. I’ve read it through already and it is awesome! I suggest you check it out!
And that’s about it for me. Hope you all had a wonderful week as well, I’ll be catching up with you again soon!
